Karen Beemon, Chair of Biology, has been awarded the 2007 Retrovirology Prize for her research on avian retroviral gene expression and oncogenesis.

Elcin Unal, who recently earned her Ph.D. degree from the CMDB Program, has been awarded the 2008 Harold M. Weintraub Graduate Student Award.
